NIZAM MUSEUM WALK

This palace constructed for the 3rd Nizam by his father now functions as a museum and a school

The Museum is dedicated to the last Nizam,containing the gifts he received on his silver jubilee, the world's largest wardrobe,and many other priceless artifacts from the Asaf Jahi dynasty. We held our very first walk here (post lockdown)discussing about the history behind the building and the artifacts it houses today.

CHRISTMAS WALK 2020

On Christmas day,we held a walk at here to discuss about the British and their influence on Secunderabad, the memorials and the stories behind them and one of the largest and only functioning church organ in India.

OSMANIA UNIVERSITY WALK

Osmania university was the first to teach in an vernacular language in India(Urdu)

The campus that truly reflect the Deccan,drawing inspirations from across the globe yet maintaining a sense of individuality,the ambiance shows how much thought and planning went into this place,the magnum opus of the Asaf Jahi dynasty.

WOMEN OF GOLCONDA WALK

at Qutb Shahi Necropolis, November 2020. #WorldHeritageWeek Celebrations

 

The Qutb shahi dynasty is responsible for the existence of Hyderabadi history,They established the city and made Golconda from a small mudfort to a legendary kingdom that could rival those fantastical kingdoms from the Arabian nights,But most of the focus is given to the Kings or Sultans of Golconda,so we went to shed some light on the mostly ignored and forgotten Women of Golconda,their achievements, how they rose to power in the court and earned the undying respect of nobles and locals alike,and about their share in developing Hyderabad.
